Burnout – An Occupational Health Issue

Let’s talk about burnout. Over the last two years, the world has undergone extreme change. The COVID-19 pandemic has left many of us feeling helpless, exhausted and completely out of control when it comes to work, especially in the healthcare industry. However, we continue to move forward, regardless of these feelings.

When we move forward without addressing and finding solutions to these feelings, we put ourselves at risk for experiencing burnout.

Today, there is a huge percentage of the working population leaving their jobs in search of better working conditions. This ‘Great Resignation’ is a result of the lack of support and understanding employees feel from their current workplace.
